Hello, so a few news articles this week, one of them was posted again on The Sheffield Star fb page late last night.

You’ve been let down so badly by the justice system, you deserved better. The woefully inadequate sentence is an absolute travesty. There was the news article near the start of June , and you think someone is going to answer for what happened to you. Then all it comes down to is a pathetic sentence that doesn’t seem like justice at all. The judge has been quoted as saying that the sentence in no way reflects the value of your life. So why does it feel like the court didn’t appreciate the value of your life ? No sentence would have felt like enough but I can’t comprehend how what was given can be any sort of meaningful punishment.

From reading the comments on social media, lots of people can’t believe how lenient the sentence was. It was hard seeing it in black and white , reading how it could have easily been avoided. You were let down once by the drivers reckless actions and now you’ve been let down again. This is life at it’s cruelest.
